Synthon announces European approvals for Exemestane tablets


Synthon is announcing today that it has successfully concluded multiple registration procedures for Exemestane tablets. Regulatory clearance has been obtained for Synthon's product in all relevant European countries.

Synthon's product is a fully generic and bioequivalent version of Pfizer’s Aromasin® 25 mg tablets, which is an aromatase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of post-menopausal women with hormone receptor positive breast cancer.

European sales of Exemestane tablets were 173 million Euros (MAT Sept 2010) based on IMS Midas data.
