As business analyst laboratory informatics you will work within the Corporate Application Services team (CAS). The CAS department is responsible for the proper functioning and continuous improvement of all corporate business applications within Synthon. The laboratory Informatics domain covers both R&D and QC processes and consists currently of multiple applications such as LIMS and ELN. As the Synthon organization continually develops and new processes are being introduced, we expect further growth in this Lab domain in the coming years.
Key responsibilities
As business analyst laboratory informatics, you proactively identify, assess and document business requirements, recommend business priorities and advise on options, potential risks and costs. You explore possible solutions, check whether any are already being used within the company, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible. Subsequently you analyze the impact of proposed solution across the business and develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to the various stakeholders. Furthermore, your tasks will include organizing workshops, providing test scenarios, training and supporting business process experts.
You will serve as liaison between the internal customer, the external supplier and the Information Services department to manage changes according to the applicable guidelines set for the pharmaceutical industry. The position requires occasional trips to our affiliates in Europe and Latin America. The QC department has developed a paperless lab strategy and as business analyst laboratory informatics you will play a crucial role in the realization of this strategy with the introduction of LES.
