Job Profile

As head Information Technology (IT) you will be responsible for setting up and managing a stand-alone IT department for Synthon Biopharmaceuticals. You will lead a group of approximately 9 people who work on supporting the IT operations, in strong alignment with the business needs. You will act as a proactive advisor and sparring partner for business executives, to define infrastructure support initiatives and solutions for improving business process efficiency and effectiveness. Continuous development and improvement of the provided IT services is one of your key tasks, and you will keep IT knowledge throughout the whole department at the highest standard. You will report to the Site director.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development of infrastructure strategy, service delivery and support, standards and procedures
  • The set-up of IT strategy planning activities, bringing knowledge and vision on infrastructure technology and systems, and best practices as related to the needs of the business
  • Development, implementation and management of IT metrics reporting and service level agreements that effectively measure team and vendor performance and are in line with the needs of the business
  • Collaboration and negotiation with external partners to support system operations/development/integration, ensuring reliability, competence, flexibility and cost effectiveness
  • Working closely with business groups to manage customer satisfaction, direct investigation and remediation of service level breakdowns
  • Initiating, leading and supporting projects and their delivery in accordance with project goals, time scales and costs in alignment with the business needs.

Your Profile

Your motivation letter and CV should show that you have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • More than 10 years of working experience, preferably in highly regulated environment such as life sciences or similar
  • Strong people management and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Perfect command of the English language

In interviews you will be able to demonstrate that you have strong leadership and management skills, a participative management style, and a no-nonsense, result-oriented and pragmatic approach. You also have the ability to manage change, both in structure and in attitude, and to formulate a clear vision on information technology.
